Arabic Star Trek Fotonovels
The Bissat al-Rih Foundation published a series of 140 comics in Lebanon, Arabic translations of western publications, under the Beyond the Universe imprint in the late 1970s to early 1980s. Unsold issues were collected and rebound in more that 60 softcover and hardcover folders. and 20 hardcover volumes. The softcover folders collect three rebound comics. The hardcover folders collect ten rebound comics. The hardcover volumes collect seven rebound comics each, and have been reprinted at least once. Early issues of this series contained serialized Arabic translations of two Bantam Star Trek fotonovels, A Taste of Armageddon (#4) and Metamorphosis (#5). Each comic has up to four pages of a Star Trek fotonovel with Arabic word balloons. The precise number of comics, folders and hardcover volumes with Star Trek fotonovels is unclear, but it's likely that they were collected and rebound in at least the three volumes listed here.
