The wormhole trap, Part 2 of 4
While the wormhole's instability plays havoc with Bajoran
weather, the investigation continues. Kira, Odo, and Worf lose
the Cardassian trespassers when they transport to a nearby
sensor-camoflaged ship and escape into the wormhole. Data and
Dax investigate how the Cardassians can travel through the
wormhole, while Bashir and Crusher look into an odd flux in the
genome set of some blood shed by one of the Cardassians. LaForge
and O'Brien examine the old circuitry which the Cardasians were
trying to activate. Gul Dukat protests accusations of Cardassian
interference, but Troi feels he is telling the truth. Riker
assembles an away team to attempt entering the wormhole and
reluctantly agrees to let Kira join them. The doctors determine
that the blood sample left by the saboteur isn't Cardassian,
but belongs to an unknown race. Riker, Kira, and their away team
barely make it through the wormhole and are captured in the
tractor beam of an alien vessel after spotting the missing runabout.
