Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes
While an Imperial Planets fleet bombards Durla, forcing the shapeshifting species into submission, a team of young adventurers from the 30th-century is returning home in a time bubble, and the Enterprise is recalled to Earth. The time bubble is caught in a vortex and must make an emergency landing. Kirk and his crew beam down to San Francisco. Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, Shadow Lass, Chameleon Boy, Braniac 5 and Lightning Lad find themselves on 23rd-century Earth, but it's not their Earth. Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Uhura, Sulu and Chekov find themselves on 23rd-century Earth too, and it's not their Earth either. The humans living on the heart of the Imperial Planets are the most rapacious and power-hungry sentients in recorded history.

Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes
Solicitation: STAR TREK/LEGION OF SUPERHEROES tells the tale of the original crew of the Starship Enterprise, who beam down to a planet only to discover that the planet isn't their intended destination, or even in the right universe. At the same time, a group of Great Darkness Saga Legionnaires inside a time sphere find themselves cast into the 23rd century, but it's not the 23rd century as they know it, either. STAR TREK/LEGION OF SUPERHEROES is a galaxy-spanning adventure that draws both teams together to face a menace that includes Khunds, Klingons, Borg, and other threats that aren't quite as they should be. The egalitarian United Planets in one universe and a United Federation of Planets in another is now the Imperial Planets of Terra, a dark empire focused on war and conquest, and that's just the beginning for this special series.

Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes
Following a brief exchange of phaser blasts and super-powers, Starfleet officers and Legionnaires stop posturing and begin discussing their common problem. While learning that neither group belongs in this timeline, they also learn a little about their respective homes, the United Federation of Planets and the United Planets. Spock and Brainiac 5 believe that the timestream has been altered, erasing their timelines from existence. Then the Imperial Elite arrive. Comprised of familiar alien adversaries, the Elite order a surrender for immediate judgment and sentencing. Enterprise crew members pair up with Legionnaires to overcome the Elite, then join forces again to correct the timestream. One joint team will look for a temporal disturbance in the past, while the other will examine a temporal disturbance in the present.

In the present, a team led by Kirk and Lightning Lad find their opportunity to sneak into the Emperor's palace, with time for Kirk to hit on Shadow Lass. No one understands how this version of the immortal became the undying lord and ruler of the Imperial Planets.
