That was true for a long time, but I've been adding comics, books, and magazines published in other countries for a while now, so I changed the home page description to in the United States and elsewhere. 7/29/2018 - Sorry, I'm so far behind. I'm catching up, starting with New Visions which, unfortunately, has come to an end, and Boldly Go, which has also concluded. Finally, a few weeks ago I added a page for tv guides with illustrated covers.

1/9/2017 - On Thu, 9 Jan 1992 14:58:18 GMT, I posted my first list of Star Trek comics to Usenet newsgroup rec.arts.startrek.current. At the time, the latest Star Trek comics published were Star Trek #30 and Star Trek: The Next Generation #30 from DC Comics. After updating the list a couple of times, I renamed it the Star Trek Comics Checklist. After twelve years on Usenet, the checklist moved to this website, built with BBEdit, GraphicConverter and no design skills whatsoever. Today, twenty-five years after that first Usenet post, I still don't have any design skills, but I learned how to use Subversion and rsync to manage the primitive HTML code holding things together here. I'd like to thank all the creators who have been producing Star Trek comics for nearly fifty years and the Trekkies who have contributed their knowledge of Star Trek comics to help me keep the checklist updated. Later this year, October 2017, don't forget the 50th anniversary of the first Gold Key Star Trek comic, The Planet of No Return, and keep on Trekkin'...

11/11/2016 - I repaired the Gold Key around the world page which has been broken for awhile.

6/20/2015 - OMG! The Star Trek/Green Lantern crossover will have a million variant covers and there are more to come!

1/3/2015 - Happy New Year! I've been catching up with IDW comics and more. Today I added the filmstrip of Planet of No Return, Part I from the Chemtoy Star Trek Movie Viewer. I haven't tested the filmstrip on all browsers. I'm hoping it works on most.

8/17/2014 - Yes! I'm finally catching up. All the ongoing and mini-series issues have been updated and new panels have been added to The Case of the Missing Sunday Panels. I still need to add in trades, hardcovers and limited editions. I'm getting there. Have you bought your copy of New Life and New Civilizations: Exploring Star Trek Comics yet? I have an essay in this cool collection of essays about Star Trek comics from Sequart Organization.

I also added a link on the same page for an interesting Flash-based communicator created by graphic designer Walter Stephens. Let me know what you think of this stuff. Too much? Not enough?

7/30/2012 - More and more stuff with a Star Trek comics theme has been offered for sale, so I've added a page for stuff. In addition, I've split out the digital ephemera from the print ephemera. I doubt I'll ever find everything in these categories, but you can help. If you find anything that belongs on these pages, please let me know.

6/16/2012 - This September, IDW will be celebrate the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation with a four-issue mini-series titled Hive. IDW has another line of reprints coming, Treasury Editions, which are oversize comics with cardboard stock covers like the Marvel and DC Treasury Editions of decades past.

4/6/2012 - I split the parodies page into three pages, one each for comics, fanzines, and books and magazines. With help from fanzine expert and collector Anna Moomaw, I'll be adding more fanzines with Star Trek comics. 1/14/2012 - Something for the new year. Added my meager Twitter feed to the home page and trying out some Twitter, Facebook and Google+ share buttons on a few pages.

1/9/2012 - Holy Cow! The Star Trek Comics Checklist is twenty years old today. Time flies when you're trekkin'. Of course, this means I'm older than dirt. The checklist started out life as the Star Trek Comics Index, but wasn't really an index.

10/29/2011 - Wow! IDW has gone cover happy with their Star Trek ongoing series and Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes mini-series. I can't keep up.

9/23/2011 - Added FreeFind search to the home page in case Google search isn't working out for you.

9/5/2004 - For over ten years, this checklist was posted to Usenet newsgroups rec.arts.startrek.misc, rec.answers and news.answers. Unfortunately, the mechanism for posting and mirroring to the FAQ archive is broken, so I've broken down and assembled this quick and dirty web site as a replacement. When I have time, I'll try to improve format, appearance, and content. The to-do list includes adding stardates, letterers and colorists, and maybe some images. If you have any suggestions, feel free to pass them on.
