Exploring a new sector, the Enterprise is invited to open
diplomatic relations but the ship and away team are attacked.
Children appear and send the attackers home to their quarters.
The children are adults, and the adults are children playing war
games.

Spirit in the sky
It's Christmas Eve and off-duty personnel are getting ready to
party when the Enterprise encounters an alien vessel searching
for an energy creature that has boarded the ship. The alien
crew is invited to join the celebration while the jolly energy
creature spreads good cheer throughout the Enterprise.

En route to the mythical planet Faltos, the Enterprise
encounters an apparently unmanned ship. The away team is
attacked by unseen assailants and Q (Encounter at Farpoint, Part I)
appears. Q goads Picard into doing battle with the ship. The
saucer section is separated from the drive and then disappears,
but Q claims no responsibility.

Riker, in command of the saucer section, meets the rest of the Q
Continuum, while Picard has to deal with Q. Q loses his powers
and accidentally kills Geordi during a suicide attempt.
